The small village of Cambridge has two local public houses with a Post Office in nearby Slimbridge. A short drive away are the villages of Dursley, Quedgeley, and Cam which is less than a five-minute drive where you can find local shops, pubs, restaurants, chemists, post office, petrol station and large supermarkets. There are also local doctors and dentist surgeries and in Dursley there is a minor injuries unit as well as a bigger hospital in Gloucester.
Poplars Park has all the benefits of living in the countryside yet is within easy driving distance to explore the shops and attractions of Bristol and Gloucester. It is also has the beautiful Cotwolds and Forest of Dean just on the doorstep… two designated areas of outstanding natural beauty. Slimbridge Wetland Centre with its amazing array of wildlife is a short drive away and is a beautiful and internationally renowned reserve, unique to the Southwest and has something to offer visitors during every season.
Cambridge has a regular bus service which runs between Bristol, Thornbury and Gloucester. The M5 is also quite nearby which provides quick and easy access to the Midlands and South West country.
There is a community bus that comes on the park occasionally as well as window cleaners and mobile hairdressers. There is also a bus stop right outside the park which takes you into the nearby towns and villages and you can also catch one to go further afield to larger towns and cities such as Gloucester and Bristol.
